Scanned Old Picture

Since I recently bought a Scanner/Printer I have taught Katrina & Nathan how to scan, and they have been helping me scan all our old pictures that we have. (we are about 1/4 the way through them.) I decided to start putting some up on the blog to share with family and friends.

Here is a picture from the early 70's of the family eating dinner.

This is the band I played in in High School setting up for one of the Teen Dances they had every month. We played for a lot of those dances. 1976-77

Look up!

If you are outside in the next few nights, take a few mins. and look up. We are near the peak of the Perseid meteor shower over the next few days. I spent about 1/2 hour last night looking up and seen 6 in that time. It is better if you are away from the city though.Kirk

What a week-end of Moving

We are now officially moved to Burley, Idaho.... I was able to pick-up the U-Haul truck Friday, Thanks to Debbie for driving the Van back to the house for me, and the Dolly.
We started loading it at 7:00 PM that night. We had some great help from Brian Smith and his wife(our Hometeacher) and Victor (a friend of ours) and Dennis when he got off work. We were able to get everything out of the house by 10:00.

We left the Salt Lake Valley by 11:00 PM and drove all the way to Burley, getting to Grandma's about 3:00 AM. We all went to sleep and got up and unloaded the next day. Thanks to Randy, R.J., Quaid, Wes and Ryan for there help unloading. I was able to have the truck back to U-haul by 4:30 so in less than 27 Hours we were moved.

Now comes the arraigning of all the stuff. We have already emptied lots of boxes, and moved about a dozen back to the storage unit. I am a little bite worried because my back is sore and I have to take an agility test on tuesday morning for my new job. I'm not really to worried about the test, I just need to be able to lift some weights and also take the drug test. Can't wait to get to work and get things settled here.
